2027 Par Fly Tournament

• $600 per 2-person team.
• Registration will open mid-June 2027. The event is expected to sell out, and spots will be filled on a first come first served basis. *Previous year’s teams have 1^st opportunities to register.
• The Par Fly will not be cancelled due to inclement weather.
• No refunds will be given after August 15, 2027.

• A valid Colorado fishing license is required.
• Fly fishing only with barbless hooks. NO other method of take will be allowed.  You may fish more than one fly at a time.
• Beats- Teams will draw for beats. Fishing will occur on the Rio Grande. Fishing will occur on State and Federal public access reaches. (Expect the public to be fishing this water)
• Only one angler at a time is allowed to fish. The other angler is allowed to net the fish.
• Angler #1 fishes for 30-minutes or lands his/her fish, whichever occurs first. Then angler #2 starts. This rotation will continue throughout the day.
• One (1) point will be awarded for each Brown Trout. Two (2) points will be awarded for each Rainbow. Any other species will be awarded one (1) point.
• Scores sheets must be turned in no later than 5:00 pm.
• Tournament Hosts reserve the right to adjust the Rules prior to the start of the event.

• Teams will use a two-man scramble, shotgun start format to play 18-holes of golf.

• Mulligans will be available for purchase the morning of the event. Only the person who purchases the Mulligan may use it. It is not a Team Mulligan.
• Tournament Hosts reserve the right to adjust the Rules prior to the start of the event.

• The Tournament Hosts will subtract the team’s total Trout Score from the team’s total Golf Score. The lowest score wins.  In the event of a tie, the Largest Fish length (# of inches) will be used to determine the winning team.

EVENING

4:30pm – meet at the Rio Grande Club, 285 Rio Grande Club Tr. South Fork, for sign in, pick up your Swag Bag, social hour, cash bar. Your valid Colorado Fishing License will be required for paperwork.

5:45pm – overview of Tournament, auction off Beats, Guided Float Fishing option and draw for beats. Dinner service is available at RG Club.

7:30pm – end of day.

FISHING

7:30am – check in at 8200 Mountain Sports, 30923 US Hwy 160. South Fork, get fishing maps & directions.

9:00am – start fishing.

12:30pm – stop fishing your morning beat and drive to your afternoon beat.

4:00pm – stop fishing for the day.

5:00pm – turn in fishing score cards. Friday at 8200 Mountain Sports. Saturday at the SF Community Building.

GOLFING

9:00am – check in at the Rio Grande Club Pro Shop.  (0285 Rio Grande Club Tr. South Fork). Hit a bucket of range balls, purchase Mulligans via TU Host, if desired.

10:00am – shotgun start, 18 holes.

3:30pm – turn in scorecards to Pro Shop at Rio Grande Club.

EVENING

There is no official Tournament event planned for Friday evening.  Feel free to explore South Fork, Creede & Del Norte for dinner options.

5:00- 7:00pm – Happy Hour at Rachel’s Crow Bar, 26 Escondida Dr. South Fork. Rachel’s is an outdoor bar & eatery serving great food & drinks.  This will be where the cool kids go to hang out and will be our unofficial spot for the evening.

EVENING

5:00pm – meet at the South Fork Community Building, 254 Hwy 149. South Fork. Social hour, cash bar.

6:00pm – catered dinner (included with registration fee)

6:30pm – recap of day’s events, Silent Auction ends, door prizes. Announce winning teams, award prizes, etc.

8:00pm – end of the 2027 Par Fly weekend.

1^st place team, 2^nd place team & 3^rd place team.

Various other prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, long drive, largest trout, etc.

*A hole in one will automatically receive 5 yrs. worth of paid registration fees to future Par Fly events.
